Singapore — Ever since the pandemic began, concerts, gatherings and such have either been cancelled or postponed. As such, fans have resorted to watching online streams of their favourite stars – though the feeling and rush of experiencing live concerts are simply not the same. So here’s some good news.

UnUsUaL Entertainment Pte. Ltd. (“UnUsUaL”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of UnUsUaL Limited, making a close collaboration with IMC Live Global, is co-presenting a series of 54 concerts by renowned artists, Angela Zhang 《張韶涵》and Kelly Yu《于文文》.

The reason for the many concerts is that the artist will perform in different provinces, and every performance will have some unique elements brought into it. Each concert will be played out in different cities within China. The concerts will begin in Oct 2021 and end in Dec 2022.

Angela Zhang is one of the most popular Taiwanese singer and actress who have won multiple music awards and released 10 studio albums over the years. Her past albums, Aurora and Pandora, have sold millions of copies in Asia.

Her hit songs include the likes of “Pandora 《潘 朵拉》” and “Invisible wings 《隐形的翅膀》” were among the top songs in the years when they were released. Following her appearance in the popular Chinese singing show, Singer 2018, she gained prominence in China, where her album was one of the top 100 best-selling albums in China in 2019.

She recently kick-started her latest world tour in Nanjing, China.

Kelly Yu is a Chinese Canadian singer and actress who won Channel V’s best newcomer award in 2015 and have since released 5 albums to date. Her most popular songs include “Decently 《体面》, The day of the breakup《分手那天》, and Thanks for Your Love《謝謝妳愛我》.”

Both artists have developed a strong fan base across the region, and more so in China. Fans also can expect a rendering of their favourite songs by the artist during the concerts.

The concert circuit looks set to make a return as more and more countries re-open following the closures to stop the pandemic.

Chief Executive Officer of UnUsUaL, Mr Leslie Ong said, “Sporting, music and cultural events are amongst the activities that people missed most during the pandemic and certainly looking forward to attend live events again. We are confident that the whole entertainment sector will bounce back quickly with more concerts in the pipeline”.

“The Group is in talks with the artists and their managers regarding performing in different countries, but only when conditions allow us to do so,” added Ong.

When asked if there is a difference in the concerts before COVID-19 and now, Ong said, “There ought to be some differences in the concert setting as we need to adhere to the local government’s covid restrictions and social distancing rules. So this will affect the audience capacity.”

“We have the safety measures in place and we have safety officers who will be there to ensure that audiences adhere to the vaccine policy, which requires the audience to either be fully vaccinated or provide a negative coronavirus test to gain entry to the events.” /TISG
