Riverdale star Cole Sprouse recently addressed how he felt about co-star Lili Reinhart breakup rumours.
The Riverdale co-stars who reportedly broke up after almost two years of dating have been trolling the media, and calling out sources for “not knowing shit.”
The actor has directly responded to the speculation in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Sprouse did not clarify the relationship status he has with Reinhart but he jokingly said he was “incredibly” annoyed by the reports.
“No, I don’t care,” he said. “That’s the nature of our industry. I think you have to poke fun of it a little bit. It’s kind of something you sign up for, but as long as can keep it light and fun, it’s all good.”
The former Disney Channel star also shared whether he’s going to write his own love poem for the actress for her birthday in September since she posted one for his 27th birthday on Instagram last week.
“I’m not a poet. I do not write. I’ll figure out something beautiful,” he admitted.
He has to step up in his game because Reinhard put a lot of thought in her tribute.
“I tried to find a poem that I could send to you. Because my words were failing me. But I searched and found nothing that did you justice. All of these love poems can’t get it right. No one else’s words could ever fit. They haven’t known the fortune it is to love you,” Reinhart wrote alongside a photo of Sprouse.
On Monday (5 Aug), Reinhart also posted (and then deleted) a snarky comment on a video Variety posted of Sprouse. “Sources say he’s single now- is he available?” she wrote.
Even though neither of them has directly confirmed whether or not they still together, there’s plenty of evidence to suggest they are.
