A South Korean six-year-old YouTuber just bought a luxury home for her family with her YouTube earnings.

The girl’s family bought a five-storey building worth SGD10 million at Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam on 3 Apr.

The family is known as the Boram Family and they operate two YouTube channels Boram Tube ToysReview and Boram Tube Vlog, featuring the little girl named Boram.

These channels hold the biggest share in marketing profits among Korean YouTube channels.

YouTube analytics website Social Blade estimate that the two channels have an average monthly revenue of USD3.1 million (SGD 4 million).

With over 13.6 million subscribers, Boram Tube ToysReview is where she reviews toys and has gained popularity worldwide.

The Boram Tube Vlog channel shares the daily life of Boram and her family, followed by more than 17.5 million subscribers.

Although netizens are amazed by Boram’s revenue with a desire to be a YouTuber as well, there has been past accusations that Boram was abused by her parents.

Back in September 2017, Save The Children’s local chapter had taken the issue regarding Boram being abused by her family to the court.

They pressed charges against Boram’s parents, accusing them of gaining financial profit by putting her in situations that could put her under mental distress.

Videos where she is seen stealing money from her dad’s wallet, damaging her favourite doll and acting as if she is pregnant were deemed as negative influence on underage viewers who watch them.

Boram’s parents apologised to the public following the outcry and made the videos private.

Meanwhile, the  Seoul Family Court upheld the charity’s accusations and ordered protective disposition to Boram’s parents.
