Since Dr Tan Cheng Bock’s announcement that he and other former PAP cadres would be forming the Progress Singapore Party, his weekend breakfast sessions have been making the news.

Last weekend, Dr Tan had breakfast at Tampines Hawker and Food centre.

There, he met People’s Action Party (PAP) Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC and the Mayor for the North East District Desmond Choo.

Mr Choo is also the National Trades Union Congress’ (NTUC) assistant secretary-general.

The two men met while having breakfast on Saturday, and according to a post on Dr Tan’s Facebook page he wrote, “Today breakfast at Tampines Hawker and Food centre. Met a friendly MP Desmond Choo who was on his rounds..He gave me a Chinese New year package”.
