Online users are calling out a driver whose car was seen parked on a sidewalk right in front of a McDonald’s at Bugis Village. A police car was also filmed on the scene.

A netizen took to an online Facebook group, Singapore Incidents, on Wednesday (Nov 2) to share a video of a car parked right on a pathway. The 11-second clip featured a white sedan that was clearly on a walkway right in front of a McDonald’s. A police car was also seen in the video. “You can’t park there, Sir,” the video was captioned, together with a location, “at Bugis Village.”

Though quite a few commented with “drive thru” jokes in response to the video, many voiced out their concerns over pedestrian safety. “Students always walk on this path…nowadays, even walkways aren’t safe!” wrote one netizen.

“Sir, please move your car…you’re blocking (the way of) people walking,” one commented. Still, others questioned the legitimacy of giving out driver’s licenses to people who exhibit such road behaviour. “How did they pass their driver’s license test?” asked one, while another wrote, “I just read aout the Yishun incident at Blk 249…now Bugis…I don’t understand these (people)…who’s giving (out) driving licenses?”
