"As much as I hate pigeons, I'll always slow down or stop if there's any on the road," said one netizen. "Heck, I don't even need religion to tell me it ain't right to take a bird's life."

SINGAPORE: In response to an online user’s post claiming that a car ran over three birds, netizens have taken different sides on the issue.

While some questioned how sure the netizen was that the photographed car was responsible for running over the birds, others argued that the birds were at fault as they were within the car’s blind spot. Others, however, expressed how upset they were over the matter.

An online user took to Complaint Singapore on Monday (July 17) to share a photo of three dead birds on the road and a car seen in the distance. “This car just ran across 3 birds and they mati,” the post read.

One group of netizens showed sympathy for the birds.

“As much as I hate pigeons, I’ll always slow down or stop if there’s any on the road,” said one. “Heck, I don’t even need religion to tell me it ain’t right to take a bird’s life.”

Another group of online users didn’t find fault with the driver, arguing that the birds were within the car’s blind spot.

“Don’t blame the driver,” said one. “Blame the birds for being stupid! This is a road for goodness sake.”

Another argued, “Sometimes we are unaware of birds while driving, this is not the driver’s fault.
