The father of the six-year-old who was showed an obscene video by a convicted sexual predator while on bail, has lashed out at the light sentence meted out to Joshua Robinson.

In a Facebook post (which has since been deleted), the father said:

“They finally sentenced this piece of garbage to jail. For those that don’t know the story, the 6 year old girl referred to in these articles is our baby girl. While this was a stressful chapter in our lives, I can only imagine the hurt and stress the other girls and their families are going through. We are shocked and disappointed in the Singapore Government to say the least. 4 years is merely a slap on the wrist. He will probably be out much less than that, and will be back to preying on children in no time!”

The Singapore court on Thursday (2 Mar) sentenced  Robinson to four years jail for sexually assaulting two teenage girls and filming the assaults. Robinson pleaded guilty to nine charges – three for sexually assaulting two 15-year-old girls, five for possessing obscene films and one for showing an obscene film to a six-year-old girl.

He was caught in June 2015 after his second victim told her parents about the assault and made a police report against him. Police officers who searched his apartment after the report was made, found and seized 5,902 X-rated films, including 321 films of child pornography.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Nicholas Lai called Robinson a sexual predator who groomed and morally corrupted his young victims and coaxed them into having sex with him but only claimed four to five years jail for Robinson.

We are not naming the father of the six-year-old, but this is a screenshot of what he said.

This sick animal, Joshua Robinson was arrested and let out on bail BEFORE he shared his private porn collection with my 6 year old baby girl! He was arrested and let loose to prey on other children!
In my opinion, the Singapore Government has really done an injustice here. They should have slapped him with many more years. They lock drug abusers up for much longer than 4 years. A marijuana joint could probably get you more than 4 years in SG, but a Child sexual abuser? Just a slap on the wrist! Is this how a government protects their children? Shame on the Singapore judicial system! Shame on the Government!
I am only writing this and making it public on my Facebook page, because this animal will be set loose sooner than you know it. He WILL go back to hurting young children, and he will go back to teaching martial arts again.
I imagine that he will stay in South East Asia. Maybe teach at a school in the Philippines, Thailand, or China. Or maybe he does go back to his home Country (USA)…. Either way, he will be involved with martial arts, and your child could be one of his students. I write this, so that all of you remember his face. Please share this if your child trains in martial arts. Share this especially if you have a child studying martial arts in Asia.
By the way, our family is doing great and our children are handling this amazingly well. They are champions, and will continue to thrive. We all look forward to moving on.
Thanks for letting me vent.”
