Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and actor Brad Pitt have several things in common such as being natural blondes, having a certain comedic charm and stylish flair. What is surprising is that they even dated the same woman before.
DeGeneres revealed details on September 13 when the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor stopped by her TV show, with the comments being seriously juicy.
She broke the news as she and the actor reflected on how they first met.
“I remember a Melissa Etheridge pool party [in the late ’80s or early ’90s], where I think you were hitting on my girlfriend,” Pitt said.
“Was I hitting on your girlfriend, really?” DeGeneres said, smiling.
“I think so,” he replied. “I was flattered.”
Pitt probably expected that that would be the end of their exchange. But then the TV host dropped the bombshell.
“I actually since then have dated another one of your girlfriends,” she shot back. “We’ll talk about that later.”
“After the show,” he smiled.
Ellen DeGeneres is married to actress Portia de Rossi currently. They have been dating for about four years before getting married in 2008.
Before de Rossi and DeGeneres were together, the TV personality dated Anne Heche and Alexandra Hedison.
As for Pitt, he has most recently been linked to Charlize Theron. Prior to that he was dating Angelina Jolie whom he married in 2014 after a 10-year relationship.
The pair, who share six children split up two years later.
Jolie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
Pitt dated celebrities like Jennifer Aniston (whom he was married to from 2000 to 2005), Thandie Newton, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robin Givens, Christina Applegate, Jill Schoelen, E.G. Daily, Juliette Lewis, and Geena Davis.
Unfortunately, they didn’t say which ex they have in common. But the talk show host later hinted and teased fans on her Twitter page.
“It turns out Brad Pitt and I have similar taste in women,” she wrote in a tweet containing a link to the clip.
Jezebel did an in-depth investigation to figure out which ex the celebrities have in common. But, sadly, their search turned up empty.
“After hours spent combing the archives, I’m still no closer to the truth!” wrote a Jezebel writer.
As you can imagine, people are dying to know which ex these two have in common. After DeGeneres dropped the bombshell, many fans quickly took to Twitter to demand answers.
“Wow, now you made me curious about who that girlfriend was,” one person tweeted.
“Who is the mysterious ex-lover that #BradPitt and #EllenDeGeneres share?” another person asked.
“At the same time?….. now that would be news.,” quipped a third Twitter user.
And some people just couldn’t believe the revelation at all.
“How bout dat!” one woman exclaimed.
“oop,” commented another.
