Maid refuses to go with family to JB, despite agreeing to it in the contract; says she wants to rest in S’pore

 

A frustrated employer took to social media after her Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) refused to go with the family to JB, Malaysia, despite agreeing to it in her contract.

In her post to Facebook group FDW in Singapore (working conditions forum), the employer said that in her case, her helper “agreed during the interview at the agency that she will follow us back to JB coz we have another house there. Plus we put it in the contract that she has to follow us”.

Customer orders fish curry, but there’s no fish in it; says ‘$9.80 for plain fish curry, I guess the fish in picture is for illustration purpose’

An unhappy customer took to the popular COMPLAINT SINGAPORE Facebook page to show an order of fish curry that did not appear to contain any fish.

Mr Jim Davis posted a video on Tuesday (Sept 6) showing a bowl of curry being stirred, and only a few vegetables can be seen in the bowl.

“$9.80 for plain fish curry. I guess the fish in picture is for illustration purpose,” he wrote.

FAS council member sends toxic WhatsApp messages to players & staff at Balestier Khalsa

A Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Council member, who is also the Vice-Chairman of Singapore Premier League side Balestier Khalsa has been outed by local independent portals TMSG and Wake Up Singapore (WUSG) for sending abusive and toxic WhatsApp messages to players and the technical team at the Toa Payoh-based club.

In one of the messages, vulgarity was used by Mohammad Darwin Jalil, a member of the FAS Council since 2017, where he was elected alongside FAS President Lim Kia Tong and Edwin Tong, who was Vice-President then.

Self-proclaimed “middle class” man earning $30K/month says ‘I just can’t help thinking why I am not rich at all’

A man in his late 30s who was married with one child wrote in a Facebook post that he was frustrated because he failed to plan his financial journey.

The man, who referred to himself as being in the middle class, earned “30k a month, and my wife is around 15k a month”.

Hawker gives cleaner uncle big plate of chicken rice + meat for only $6.50; Netizens praise him for his kindness

A man was stunned when he discovered that a very generous serving of food, containing a lot of meat, only cost $6.50, a cleaner uncle told him.

However, upon talking to the hawker stall owner where the uncle had bought his food, the man found out that the cleaner is given a very special price.
