Nagaenthran’s family set to sue Attorney-General’s Chambers

 

Singapore — The family of a Malaysian convict on death row whose case has received international attention of late will be taking Singapore’s Attorney-General, Lucien Wong, to court due to reported “negligence” by the criminal justice system.

Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam, 33, who has an IQ of 69 and is said to suffer from intellectual disability, was scheduled to be judicially executed on Nov 10, but was given a temporary stay of execution after testing positive for Covid on Nov 8.

No 1-metre space between seats required at JJ Lin’s concert, netizens highlight ‘double standard’

Singapore — In light of the relaxed Covid-19 measures at the upcoming concert of Mandopop singer JJ Lin, members of the public have aired their concerns, highlighting a “double standard” on the rules.

The 40-year-old singer will be holding his charity concert on Nov 27 and 28. The event, which is reported to see about 4,000 attendees, is included among others with eased restrictions, such as not needing to keep the audience seated one metre apart.

MTF and Covid-19: Time to change play safe mantra and step up the pace of reopening

The latest easing of Covid-19 measures has the appearance of a well-calibrated move made as a result of what the Multi-Ministry Task Force has achieved so far. But, in truth, it is not. Time is not on the side of the MTF. The pressure to ease up and open up is mounting.

Fully vaccinated people, including those from different households, can dine together in groups of up to five from Monday (Nov 22). The group size limit on social gatherings will also be raised from two to five people, and the cap on household visitors will likewise increase to five.

Singapore — Seven months after giving birth to an adorable baby girl, Canadian-American Mix Martial Artist Angela Lee, proudly flexed her mom body built achieved on Friday (Nov 19) via her Facebook and Instagram accounts.

In her recent photos, the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion does not look like she gave birth with her new body. She was so proud of herself and felt motivated to workout harder, maintaining a well and physically fit body.

Ang Mo Kio cleaner snoops on neighbour, gets into brawl, both arrested for causing affray

Singapore — Minding one’s business is sometimes the better option, especially when trying to avoid a fighting match. A cleaner at Ang Mo Kio experienced this first hand after getting into a fight with a resident because he had snooped into the latter’s unit, curious about an ongoing argument he heard.
