South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo has moved out of the house that she previously shared with ex-husband Song Joong Ki during their marriage.

She moved into a luxury villa in the UN Village, one of Korea’s richest communities.

She is abroad attending to her overseas schedules.

Song Joong Ki moved in with his family following the split.

The pair fell in love in TV series Descendants of the Sun and became engaged after.

They announced their divorce back in 27 Jun through their respective agencies, revealing that Song Joong Ki had requested the divorce in court.

Song Hye Kyo’s side stated that the divorce was due to personality differences.

The actress has since been making a string of public appearances following the divorce.

Over a week after her divorce, Song Hye Kyo was at an event for a cosmetics brand in China.

The 37-year-old also attended a promotional event for the hi-end French jeweller Chaumet in Monaco of which she is their Asian ambassador.

Later on she was dressed in a beautiful dinner gown sitting next to Hollywood actress Natalie Portman and Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova.

Photos of Song Hye Kyo attending events sparked an uproar among netizens for being active in her promotional work despite the unfortunate news of her divorce.

She was laughing in some of the photos.

One irate netizen said: “She doesn’t look distressed to me.”

Another added: “Divorce isn’t a crime but how can you smile and try to look pretty as if nothing happened?”

However, her ex-husband is doing the opposite.

Song Joong Ki’s agency had announced that he would be taking time out from public events for the moment.

This is apparently considered the appropriate thing to do after a divorce in the conservative nation of South Korea.
