A Singaporean has urged his fellow citizens to proudly display the national flag outside their homes, even if they dislike the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP). In a recent post published on his Facebook page, Clement Puah Neo wrote:

He added that many of those who disagree with the PAP government’s policies and actions do so “because we love Singapore and desire the best for Singapore and all true blue Singaporeans.”

Mr Neo later edited his post to urge the PAP government to stop spending national resources “on tracking and monitoring the activities of alternative voices.” He added: “Surely with the expertise and experience of the people in the security agencies it cannot be too difficult to distinguish between patriotic alternative voices and anti-national elements!”
