Twitter user Basheer Abdrabu said, “Israeli warplanes fires more than 40 sophisticated F 16 missiles at the Gaza Strip so far killing Ali AlGandour, 33, wounding 6 and spreading terror and panic among population at the mid-night time.”

Another twitter user Mahmoud Abo Zayed said, “the situation is indescribable in Gaza”. He called on his friends to pray for Gaza which is under attack.

The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Thursday that three Palestinians were killed in the attacks, and 6 others were injured. The dead include a pregnant woman, 23, and her 16-month-old toddler. The third casualty was identified as 30-year-old Ali Alrandur.

“We don’t see the end of the escalation. We are closing in on operation in Gaza,” a senior Israeli Defense Force official said Thursday. In a twitter message the military said: “The way things continue to play out is significant. Hamas will understand in the coming hours, as in the past months, that this is not the direction it wants to chose.”

The Gaza offensive happened after three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped and killed in the West Bank and a Palestinian teenager was abducted and burned to death in an apparent tit-for-tat attack.

According to Shehab News, the Israeli offensive is ongoing in the Gaza strip today.
