Netizen shares video of alleged pickpocket at Ang Mo Kio

Singapore – A netizen shared a now viral video of what appears to be a middle-aged woman exhibiting shady behaviour at Block 453, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.

Netizen Zhou Guo Chong shared the video on Facebook with the caption:

“This lady is a pickpocket at Ang Mo Kio Ave 10. Be careful, she’s a pickpocket, must be careful. She was caught at 409, but got released twice.”

Zhou did not specify if he was the person recording the video or how he got a hold of the footage.

Judging from the video, the alleged pickpocket appears to be the lady wearing a blue striped blouse.

She stands and leans in close to another shopper wearing a white blouse. When the woman in white turns to look, the alleged pickpocket feigns interest in the products on sale and reaches for one.

The woman in white turns to leave, but the pickpocket left the stall almost immediately and followed the woman.

The alleged pickpocket followed the woman to another stall. She leaned in close again, but this time her hand can be seen reaching inside the woman’s black purse.

As the woman in white left, the alleged pickpocket still searched for her and followed her around again.

The video did not indicate whether anything was stolen.

People commenting wondered why the person recording the video did not do anything to stop the alleged pickpocket from her behaviour. Another netizen said the woman should have been reported to the police.
