50-year-old man sexually abused his 8 & 9-year-old stepdaughter and sister-in-law, telling them he touched them out of “love between family members”
A 50-year-old man has today (22 Aug) jailed for 11 and a half years for sexually abusing his young stepdaughter and sister-in-law. The two victims were eight and nine years old at the time of the crime.
The accused pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated sexual assault and two counts of indecent assault of a minor, CNA reported. In addition, nine counts of sexual offences against children were taken into consideration when sentencing. To protect the identities of the victims, the judge ordered that the name of the accused not be released.

Man who escaped from burning car in Bukit Panjang incident succumbs to injuries
A male driver who escaped from a burning car at the beginning of last month has succumbed to his injuries.
The car-burning incident occurred on July 3 at the car park of Block 216, Petir Road in Bukit Panjang. A video circulated on social media at the time showed fire engulfing cars in the parking lot and a man with his body on fire running from the parking lot to the ground floor of the HDB – screaming.
