The video has elicited strong emotions since the couple chose to wed while she was in the hospital. Even more heartbreaking is that at the end of the short video in black and white, a gravestone appears, indicating that the wife is no longer here.

The mother of Nagaenthran K. Dharmalingam, the man on death row in Singapore who is scheduled to be executed next week, has pleaded with the authorities and lawyers to save her son.

“Nagaenthran. Save him. Only then there will be some relief. Sorry, he has done wrong. Everyone, please help.” This is what the mother, Panchalai Supermaniam, said in Malay, translated into English.

A retiree and his adult son were jailed for three weeks each for beating up and choking a young boy over an argument about football being played at a multipurpose hall, a court heard on Monday (April 18).

The pair had choked the boy, then 13, and slammed him headfirst to the ground, causing multiple bruises on his body. The retiree, Ong Eng Seng, 62, and his son, Bernard Ong, 32, both pleaded guilty to one charge each of voluntarily causing hurt with common intention.

Lawyer and opposition politician Lim Tean announced that there will be a “People’s Forum” at Hong Lim Park on Sunday, April 24, at 4pm to discuss cost of living issues.

The founder and leader of the People’s Voice party made the announcement in a Facebook post on Friday morning. “It has been too Long since Singaporeans had the opportunity to converge on Hong Lim Park to discuss the burning issues which affect their Everyday lives,” he said.

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) has granted authorization for the use of molnupiravir as an oral treatment for mild to moderate Covid-19.

The drug is recommended to be administered within five days of the onset of symptoms for a period of five days. It can be used by anyone above 18 with Covid-19 symptoms and is suitable for those at risk of progressing to severe symptoms or hospitalization.
