BLACKPINK’s Lisa tested positive for COVID-19, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé tested negative

 

South Korea — BLACKPINK’s Lisa has tested positive for COVID-19. According to her agency, YG Entertainment, the Thai-born rapper was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Nov 24.

At that point in time, the other four members of the group, Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie were awaiting their results after hearing the news of Lisa’s diagnosis. The latest news is that the other three members of BLACKPINK received negative results for COVID-19.

Singapore — A touching story of a father and his three-year-old son who had to be isolated together after contracting Covid-19 was shared online through 12 TikTok video series, and counting, as they accompany each other through their quarantine isolation.

Dovanson Quah, the father of the boy, uploads, and shares the series of updates on TikTok while undergoing their quarantine.

EU recognises S’pore COVID-19 certificate as equal to its certificate, making travel easier

Singapore — A few weeks after being classified as a high-risk country, Singapore’s Covid-19 certificate is now considered equal to the European Union’s (EU) certificate, making travel movements to and from the EU easier.

In a press release on Wednesday (Nov 24), the European Commission announced that it was adopting two new decisions certifying that Covid-19 certificates issued by Singapore and Togo, a West African nation on the Gulf of Guinea, are equivalent to the EU Digital Covid Certificate.

Prolonged DBS digibanking outage ‘unacceptable’ — thousands of digital banking clients disgruntled & frustrated over service failure

Singapore — Thousands of digital banking clients of DBS Bank and POSB have been left disgruntled and frustrated so far this week over the failure of their digibanking services as it extended into the third day.

Singapore’s largest bank DBS, which also owns POSB, had been vigorously campaigning to get customers to convert to digibanking. This latest stumble could well slow the impetus of its aggressive digital evangelism.

Malaysian King appealed to President Halimah Yacob for clemency in Nagaenthran’s case

Malaysia — If convicted drug trafficker Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam escapes the gallows in Singapore, that could be the closest thing to a royal pardon anyone here could receive in this non-royal republic.

That’s because Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong, or King himself has appealed to President Halimah Yacob to grant clemency to Nagaenthran, who is a Malaysian national.
