Singapore — A migrant worker could not exit to safety after the lorry he was riding in crashed into another lorry along Penjuru Place in Jurong.

On Thursday (Nov 18), Facebook page Singapore roads accident.com posted footage of the road accident.

The post noted that a foreign worker was trapped in the passenger seat.

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel and vehicles were spotted at the scene.

SCDF personnel used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate the trapped worker from the lorry.

Footage of how the accident happened was also shared by the page.

It appears that one of the lorries crashed into the other while stationary by the side of the road.

Two individuals were injured as a result of the accident. They were later conveyed to National University Hospital for medical assistance.

The accident is reported to have involved two lorries, which happened at about 5:31 am on Wednesday (Nov 17).

Road accidents involving lorries, especially those transporting migrant workers, are often shared on social media, garnering concerns from the public over the workers’ safety.

Ten men were taken to the hospital in April this year after a lorry tipped over along Upper Bukit Timah Road.

Four days before the incident, another lorry was involved in an accident on the Pan-Island Expressway.
