Long, winding lines for Apple’s iPhone 11 Singapore launch

Singapore — Crowds of people lined up in long winding queues outside the Apple store on Orchard Road in eager anticipation of the iPhone 11.

A line formed outside the store a day before the official launch date of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max on Sept 20.

A Malaysian teenager was reportedly the first customer to buy the iPhone 11 in Singapore.

In what almost seems like an annual pilgrimage of tech, die-hard Apple fanatics all over the world also queued up and early to get their hands on the much coveted sleek new iPhone 11. In Dubai, an Indian expat was first in line for the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Apple store staff went on a standing ovation for the first customer to own the iPhone 11 in the Sydney store.

Apple’s new models have been available for pre-order in Singapore since Sept 13.

The iPhone 11 boasts of features such as the triple-camera system, a faster A13 Bionic processor, bright and crisp Super Retina XDR display, as well as longer battery life.

The iPhone 11 is available in 6 stunning colours: black, red, silver, lavender, yellow and green.

Prices range from S$1,149 for the 64GB iPhone 11 to S$1,899 for the 256GB iPhone 11 Pro and S$2,349 for the 512GB iPhone 11 Pro Max./TISG
