After meeting David Beckham in person, Jade Rasif says that he is the personification of her favourite quote, “Work hard, stay humble.”

The former footballer flew to Singapore last Friday (Jun 17) and took part in an Adidas event at its Orchard Brand Centre. The We Got This Talk Show 2.0 included panellists such as Lions forward Ikhsan Fandi, influencer-entrepreneur Christabel Chua and DJ-YouTuber Jade Rasif.

On Instagram, the next day, Ms Rasif, 28, said: “While you can read what we shared in the news, here are the things most didn’t see”.

She added that when it was time to clear the stage, David saw the staff lifting the chairs to clear the stage. “I noticed he left the line up, and when I turned around I realised he was helping the staff move the furniture”, she wrote.

She added: “Although he was not meant to host a meet & greet, he took photos with every person in the room, and shook every hand. After the show he proceeded to walk outside the store center to greet the fans waiting outside and to thank them for their support”.

She also wrote that after the show, he came out of his holding room to look for us “& gave us the warmest hugs & smiles and a chat before he had to rush off for his fifth appointment of the day”.

Ms Rasif is known for being vocal on social media. Last month, she took to her Instagram Stories on May 10 following the backlash to a Straits Times article on her.

The DJ and influencer responded to the second Straits Times piece in less than 2 days. The piece, titled ‘DJ Jade Rasif unfazed by critics who call her ‘a terrible mother’ received almost 200 comments and more than 550 reactions, most of which were critical of Ms Rasif.

In her Instagram Stories, Ms Rasif added that she appreciated the hard work of the journalist, and she appreciated netizens. She added: “Just wanted to clarify that I really did not know this article was coming out today. I have never asked anyone to write an article about me so directing hate at me for being in the news is??”
