Girl says her boyfriend that she applied BTO flat with has now blocked her & uncontactable, asks for advice

A girl in a relationship of four-and-a-half years sought advice from netizens after her boyfriend, with whom she applied for a BTO flat, blocked her and was uncontactable.

The girlfriend, tired of him always saying that he wanted them to break up, wrote in an anonymous post on popular confessions page NUSWhispers on March 9 that despite the odds, she wanted a future with him. However, she added that her boyfriend would always criticise her, telling her that she was easily influenced by her friends and social media.

“He always calls me toxic. He had hit me before, making me bleed several times by punching me in the lip and the solar plexus. He calls me manipulative. I always try and go out of my way to communicate to him and meet him even though he blocks me everywhere,” she wrote. 

She explained that he would give her the cold shoulder and ignore her, which would stress her out as she would not have any way of contacting him. She added that she felt very tired in the relationship but was not able to leave her boyfriend as she claimed to still love him and care for him.

“I want to break up with him but I am afraid as I still love him and care for him. But it’s so tiring to be in a relationship where I dont feel like my actions are being reciprocated. I just want to communicate with him but he always refuses. I am tired,” she wrote, adding that her boyfriend often blamed her when he got angry or failed at anything in life. 

“I feel like he doesn’t even have his own life together. I keep trying to piece it for him but I don’t want to baby his life anymore,” she added.

Her post garnered over 100 reactions and almost 200 comments.

Netizens were sympathetic to her plight but unanimously said that she should leave her boyfriend, especially since he hit her.
