Explosives allegedly sent to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton among others

The American establishment is reeling after sources have indicated that the spate of “suspicious packages” that were sent to prominent figures such as former US President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton earlier today contained explosives.

So far, it has been confirmed that six packages containing suspected explosive devices were sent Obama, Clinton, billionaire George Soros, Attorney General Eric Holder, ex-CIA chief John Brennan and Democrat congresswoman Maxine Waters.

CNN also reported that a suspicious package was sent to their New York office while Democrat leader Debbie Wasserman Schultz is also believed to have received a suspicious package.

Interestingly, NBC reported that the return address for the suspicious packages are all from Debbie Wasserman Schultz but the authorities believe that it is highly unlikely that the former Democratic National Committee chairperson orchestrated the attack.

Meanwhile, the Secret Service debunked a CNN report that a suspicious package was also headed to the White House. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders condemned the “attempted violent attacks” on Obama and Clinton in a statement and called for the “cowards” responsible for the “terrorizing acts” to be punished:

“We condemn the attempted violent attacks recently made against President Obama, President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, and other public figures. These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards.”

FBI investigations are ongoing.
