Is there trouble in paradise for celebrity couple Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse?

The rumour mill started after each of them celebrated their respective birthdays separately.

Queen of Cantopop Wong was nowhere in sight during now turned TV chef Tse’s 39th birthday on 29 Aug, having chosen to accompany her daughter with ex- Li Yapeng overseas to register for the new school term.

The couple have a 12-year-old daughter, Li Yan.

Earlier, Wong celebrated her 50th birthday on 8 Aug but Tse was not there.

Wong can be seen cosying with two male friends in a photo but her lover, Hong Kong actor turned chef Nicholas Tse was not seen.

Wong’s friend posted the photo on 8 Aug and was accompanied by a post in which he wished her a happy birthday.

One of the men in the photo is a friend of Chinese actor Li Yapeng (Wong’s ex-husband).

While that may add fuel to the rumour mill, Yapeng has seemingly moved on.

It was reported that 38-year-old Tse did not attend the birthday because he was working in Shanghai.

However he was seen having a relaxing post-work dinner with friends and even posing for photos with at the restaurant.

Usually Tse has a tradition of celebrating his birthday with his family and sharing photos of the celebration but Sin Chew Daily noted there were none this year.

Tse and Wong started dating in June 2000 but broke up two years later after speculation surfaced that Tse was seeing Hong Kong actress whom he married in 2006 but divorced in 2012.

A heartbroken Wong married Li in 2005 but the marriage ended in divorce in 2013 before she and Tse hooked up once again.

The couple have been going strong since they rekindled their in 2014.
