Chinese tourist allows child to urinate into plants at Gardens by the Bay

Netizens were awash with disgust after a video of a Chinese tourist allowing her child to urinate into the plants at Gardens by the Bay surfaced.

The video, was apparently uploaded by a Reddit user, ore1, who works at Gardens by the Bay, and it was captioned, ‘mainland chinese kid pissing into the plants at gardens by the bay, where i work ??’.

In the six seconds of the video, a lady can be seen hurriedly pulling up the pants of a small boy after he finishes urinating on the plants.

Earlier this year, netizens were also stricken with disgust after news of a Chinese child defecating on a bus circulated on social media.

A video was posted on microblogging platform Weibo, which showed an elderly couple taking out a potty on a Beijing bus so their granddaughter could defecate.

Singapore is also no stranger to such occurrences.

In 2014, a woman allowed a young girl to defecate in public at Marina Bay Sands. The woman was with a group dining at the atrium area of a restaurant at lunch-time. She had arranged a potty for the girl to relieve herself, just a few metres away from their table.

Instead of taking the girl, who looked like she was two years old, to the toilet, which was located nearby, the woman did not seem to notice other diners, or people walking by.
Last year, a video of some tourists from China allowing their child to urinate in public at the S.E.A. Aquarium in Sentosa triggered many irate comments from netizens.

In the video, an elderly lady, presumably the boy’s grandmother, gestured asking the videographer to stop filming them. Many said that the netizen who took the video was being rather childish and inconsiderate. Others added that the family should have been fined by S.E.A. Aquarium.

Netizens who commented on the incident at Gardens by the Bay were horrified and angry at the mother for allowing her son to do such a thing. -/TISG
