Singapore — A Housing and Development Board (HDB) resident in Ang Mo Kio took to social media to question if her neighbour was purportedly cursing them after spotting a creepy-looking display under their window.

“Is my neighbour trying to curse us? This is placed right under our window,” said a concerned member of the public in a Facebook post on Thursday (Nov 25).

Attached was a photo of what appears to be paper figures of a man and woman with a miniature coffin between them.

The figures were strapped together with a yellow ribbon covered with chants.

There were two green fruits on the side with a nail piercing through the centre of each one.

The resident added that the neighbour would ring a bell and chant over the display every morning and evening.

The neighbour had allegedly told them that the display was for feng shui purposes.

It was mentioned in a Must Share News report that the authorities had been alerted to the display, although it has not yet been removed.

The concerned resident shared that their relationship with the neighbours has been strained over the years, the issues resulting from a difference in religious beliefs.

Before the recent appearance of the display, the neighbour would burn incense at the same spot, causing smoke to enter the affected resident’s home.

A complaint was lodged as a member of the affected household was allergic to the smoke.

On another occasion, the resident would wake up to the neighbours hurling expletives in their direction, reported MS News.

Members from the online community commented that the details of the display were concerning.

“I think you might wanna report to the police cause it seems very suspicious considering it’s near your household,” said a Facebook user.

Others acquainted with feng shui added that nails shouldn’t be piercing through the limes.

“I asked my parents (my dad quite religious), and he say yes they are doing something bad, ask them to remove it and not face your house,” said a netizen.

“Black magic to put a painful curse and death on whoever it is intended for. Please go find someone who can undo this. And do check around your house as well for markings or other buried items,” another netizen advised. /TISG
