The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Thursday that three Palestinians were killed in the attacks, and 6 others were injured. The dead include a pregnant woman, 23, and her 16-month-old toddler. The third casualty was identified as 30-year-old Ali Alrandur.

“We don’t see the end of the escalation. We are closing in on operation in Gaza,” a senior Israeli Defense Force official said Thursday. In a twitter message the military said: “The way things continue to play out is significant. Hamas will understand in the coming hours, as in the past months, that this is not the direction it wants to chose.”

The Gaza offensive happened after three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped and killed in the West Bank and a Palestinian teenager was abducted and burned to death in an apparent tit-for-tat attack.

According to Shehab News, the Israeli offensive is ongoing in the Gaza strip today.

The Trump Administration has offered to broker a truce between the Israeli armed forces and the Hamas fighters in the self-governing Palestinian territory.
