After drawing immense flak from netizens for looking “pathetic,” the Miss Singapore 2017 finalists have returned to the limelight looking more groomed at a charity car wash held at the Red Cross House over the weekend.

The finalists who are said to have undergone a “journey of transformation” made their comeback riding down the streets of Orchard Road on Harley Davidson bikes.

On the finalists’ transformation, pageant organiser ERM Singapore Marketing said that the criticism initially caused psychological hurt to the women but that they are now “ready and confident to showcase their own definition of beauty to the world.”

ERM said that the event also created a sense of unity between the finalists and led them to develop more determination, besides granting them a “new understanding towards the importance of possessing the humanitarian spirit.”
