iPhone 7 release date ‘confirmed’ by Apple leak – But will the world get iPhone 6SE instead?

Apple which is known for releasing its iPhone series in the month of September, will again release its iPhone 7 on the same month, that is according to mobile reporter Evan Blass. The reporter who has been pretty accurate about the past releases of the smartphone said that pre-orders for the phone are scheduled for 9 September.

German website Apfelpage however reported that iPhone 7 will not be launched at all this year. The site which said that its information comes from Chinese supply chain sources which have seen final retail packaging, claimed that new phones will be called the ‘iPhone 6SE’ and ‘iPhone 6SE Plus’.

The website macrumours said that “multiple rumors suggest it (iPhone 7) will be a modest update that continues to use a design similar to the design of the iPhone 6s. It is said to have the same general shape as the iPhone 6s, but it may have a camera that protrudes less (though rumors currently disagree on this point). Antenna bands across the back of the device have been removed, but are expected to remain at the top, bottom, and sides of the iPhone. The front of the iPhone is also expected to see some changes with a longer earpiece cutout, a relocated ambient light sensor, and perhaps a flush touch-based home button.”
