This publication reported yesterday about Singapore being one of the venues for the worldwide gathering of the supporters of “neomasculinist” Daryush Valizadeh, also known as Roosh V. We are one of the many publications who had reported about the pending international event.
Amid the uproar among the general public all over the world on reading such reports, V Roosh has decided to cancel the worldwide “tribal meeting”, citing safety concerns for his followers.
“I can no longer guarantee the safety or privacy of the men who want to attend on February 6, especially since most of the meetups can not be made private in time. While I can’t stop men who want to continue meeting in private groups, there will be no official Return Of Kings meetups. The listing page has been scrubbed of all locations. I apologize to all the supporters who are let down by my decision.” – V Roosh on his website
Roosh V received widespread condemnation after he published a blog post in which he said that the solution for rape charges against men would be to “make rape legal if done on private property.” He later claimed that it was satirical.
The American who is 36 year-old, has argued that a women who consented to go into a man’s house, had consented to sex.
Roosh V has got a following in Singapore, and in their forum they discuss where and how to pick-up women.
His followers in Singapore were supposed to meet-up this Saturday (6 Feb) at Fort Canning Park, underneath the big arch at 8pm.
