AJOOMMA stars Hong Huifang and Kang Hyung-suk, made together with the film’s director and producer, He Shuming and Anthony Chen, will be having a Reel Talk: AJOOMMA Q&A session this October 21, 2022.

Limited tickets available” said Golden Village Pictures – Singapore’s leading independent film distributor – in one of its Instagram posts.
AJOOMMA is a story of a middle-aged Singaporean woman named Auntie who made her best years in life serving and taking care of her family. She then became a widow with an obsession with Korean pop culture. Her new life allowed her to embark on a self-discovery trip to South Korea, where she eventually embraced her independent life with courage and confidence.
The film currently has four nominations for Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards for Best Leading Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best New Director, and Best Original Screenplay. Winners for this award-winning event will be announced on Nov 19, 2022.
Furthermore, AJOOMMA was chosen as Singapore’s pick to the 9th Academy Awards, popularly known as Oscars, this coming 2023 under the Best International Film category.
The Q&A session will be held at GV Suntec City, and will start at 7:15pm. Ticket prices vary from $16 if a GVMC member to $18 for the public.
Alongside the Q&A session, AJOOMMA will also be having cinema screenings from Oct 21-24, 2022 before its official release on Oct 27, 2022.
