The saga of Mandy getting stuck in a bathroom in the middle of the night was documented on TikTok by singer-songwriter and mental health advocate Yanni Ruth Chin, who goes by @pootpootyan on the platform.
Her video starts at 2:30 am when she is found sitting on the floor outside the bathroom, where Mandy has been trapped for “about one and a half hours, close to two hours.”

The bathroom door, Yan explained in the video, could not be unlocked from the outside and inside.
The door would not open even after they “tried to take down the entire handle.”
Mandy then can be seen peeking through the hole where the handle had been, much to the amusement of her friends.
Finally, the ladies called SCDF, “because we really really can’t open the door.”
“We really need to rescue Mandy because she had no food.”
Although she did have drinks, Yan added, “tap water.”
To pass the time (as well as ensure Mandy stayed hydrated) they performed a “blind taste test,” passing a straw through the hole in the door, so Mandy could drink from a carton and guess what she was drinking.
Her friends stayed up with her—even if Yan was suffering from “a bad sinus” and their other friend Tiffany was “having a very bad headache.”
“Severe headache,” Tiffany, who can be seen holding her head.
They determine that they “obviously” can’t make it work, and wait for the SCDF, who appear to be able to open the door within a short while.
“Welcome back,” Yan tells a visibly relieved Mandy.
She then writes, “Thank you SCDF for rescuing Mandy out of the toilet, she can sleep on the bed tonight only because of you guys.”
Yan explained in a comment that they tried to call several locksmiths, who were unavailable or did not even pick up the phone.
Yan thanked the SCDF again in a comment.
