Pierce Brosnan took a firm stand when his wife Keely Shaye Smith was fat-shamed recently. The mother of two was offered weight loss surgery by his friends and Brosnan who has been married to her for 20 years did not take it lightly. Brosnan took to social media to respond.

The comment came after a Facebook user shared two snaps of Brosnan and Keely, one from about 30 years ago and a more recent one. The post was later taken down for fat-shaming, but not before Pierce Brosnan made a few comments himself, defending his wife.

“But I strongly love every curve of her body. She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children. In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother.

“And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love,” he said.
