A very calculative parent called out their child for only giving him and his wife $200 each as a monthly allowance.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers on Friday (Aug 19), without mentioning their gender, the netizen wrote that they were a relatively fresh university graduate in their early 20s. They had only been working for about a year.

SBS Transit bus captain gives his middle finger after being confronted for reckless driving and not giving way to pedestrians

A video of a bus captain said to be driving recklessly on the road and giving another road user his middle finger after a confrontation, has gone viral.

The incident involved Bus Service 161 making its rounds along Hougang Avenue 4 at 9:15 am on Aug 17. A video of what happened was shared on Facebook community page SG Road Vigilante – SGRV.

ICA: Renew S’pore passports now if you have year-end travel plans to avoid another surge of applications

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) urges all Singaporeans with year-end travel plans to submit their passport applications now if they are holding expired passports or with less than six months of validity.

In a media release on Thursday (Aug 18), the agency said that this would avoid another surge of passport applications towards the end of the year and provide ICA with sufficient time to meet the demand for year-end travels.

Another “Badge lady”? British PR fined $8K for challenging police officers who told him to wear his mask properly

A 55-year-old man was fined S$8,000 on Thursday (Aug 18) for flouting Covid-19 laws. Philip Richard Mockridge, a British PR, repeatedly challenged police officers who told him to wear a face mask properly.

Mockridge was questioned by police officers about why he was not wearing his face mask properly at a fast food outlet at City Square Mall. In response, he asked the officers which laws they were referring to and refused to pull his mask up. Mockridge was already under investigation for two similar breaches at other locations when he committed the above offence.

Girl viciously attacked & beaten up by 3 other girls at Buangkok car park

Videos of a teenage girl being violently assaulted by three other teens at a car park in Buangkok went viral earlier this week.

The video, which was posted on the Instagram account of @sgfollowsall on Aug 16 and 17, shows three girls dressed in black t-shirts cornering the victim, who sat crouched against the wall of the multi-storey car park.
