Healing the Divide founder apologises for “Asking people to flood the call centre for no genuine reason… Please forgive me if I did not handle this matter properly”

 

Singapore — Ms Iris Koh, the founder of the Healing the Divide group that has been in the news in recent weeks, has been posting video messages over social media after it was reported that she and her husband were under police investigation for allegedly encouraging people to “flood” public hotlines with feedback.

On Monday morning (Nov 29), Ms Koh posted a video on her Facebook account “to apologise for the ‘flooding’ comment” which she had made on Oct 11 after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced differentiated restrictions between vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

Another TikTok ‘Devious Licks’ challenge, youth walks away with gantry barrier

Singapore — Social media challenges, regardless of the amount of logic involved, can take the world by storm — this time, a gantry barrier was the victim as a teen was spotted walking away with the public property in tow.

Known as the “Devious Licks” challenge on the short video creation app TikTok, members of the public have been recording themselves stealing or vandalising public property and then uploading footage online.

Singapore — A Housing and Development Board (HDB) resident in Ang Mo Kio took to social media to question if her neighbour was purportedly cursing them after spotting a creepy-looking display under their window.

“Is my neighbour trying to curse us? This is placed right under our window,” said a concerned member of the public in a Facebook post on Thursday (Nov 25).

Singapore — A Singapore Police Force (SPF) press release on Sunday (Nov 28) confirmed that a 33-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected involvement in the online sales of the counterfeit goods.

The woman was arrested by the police for her suspected involvement in selling counterfeit thermometers online.

China — A man who once vowed “in sickness and in health; till death do us part” lived up to his promise and reinstated his marriage with his ex-wife after finding out she had end-stage kidney disease.
