China — A man who once vowed “in sickness and in health; till death do us part” lived up to his promise and reinstated his marriage with his ex-wife after finding out she had end-stage kidney disease.

Singapore — A woman who was the target of yet another impersonation scam, has taken to social media to highlight that scammers’ modus operandi has become more advanced to the point that they would engage in a video call donning a police officer’s uniform.

To the untrained eye, the following photo could easily deceive targets that the person behind the camera was indeed a police officer.

Singapore — A Housing and Development Board (HDB) resident in Ang Mo Kio took to social media to question if her neighbour was purportedly cursing them after spotting a creepy-looking display under their window.

“Is my neighbour trying to curse us? This is placed right under our window,” said a concerned member of the public in a Facebook post on Thursday (Nov 25).

COVID-19 | WHO unclear if new variant Omicron causes more severe disease

Geneva — The World Health Organization announced on Sunday (Nov 28) that it is still unclear if the new Covid-19 variant of concern Omicron is more transmissible or causes more severe disease than other variants like Delta.

“Researchers in South Africa and around the world are conducting studies to better understand many aspects of Omicron and will continue to share the findings of these studies as they become available,” said WHO.

Singapore — A Singapore Police Force (SPF) press release on Sunday (Nov 28) confirmed that a 33-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected involvement in the online sales of the counterfeit goods.

The woman was arrested by the police for her suspected involvement in selling counterfeit thermometers online.
