On & On Diners suspended after 73 people suffered gastroenteritis symptoms

Singapore — On & On Diners Pte Ltd is being investigated by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) for two instances of gastroenteritis that affected 73 people between 16 and 18 November 2021.

On & On Diners located at FoodXchange @ Admiralty, 8A Admiralty Street has been made to cease its operations by the SFA until further notice.

However, the SFA said that none of the 73 customers was hospitalised.

According to the agency’s requirements, the diner must now clean and sanitize its premises, equipment, and utensils and dispose of all ready-to-eat food and perishable food products.

SFA added that “Food safety is a joint responsibility.”

“SFA would like to remind food operators to observe good food and personal hygiene practices at all times. SFA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Environmental Public Health Act”.
