Woman books entire business class cabin for pet dog

India ― A woman from Mumbai booked an entire Air India business class cabin for her dog, giving her pet the ultimate luxury travel experience.

A woman travelling from Mumbai to Chennai on Sept 15 gave her pet Maltese named Bela the high-class treatment by reserving the entire business class for her to travel in.

“Bela travelled in business class on Air India on Mumbai-Chennai flight AI671 on Sept 15. The passengers had booked all business class seats,” confirmed a Chennai Airport official in an ANI report on Sept 19.

“The average business class cost for Mumbai-Chennai is around Rs 20,000 (S$360),” said the official.

The woman paid a total of Rs 2.5 lakh (S$3,070) for the cabin to be occupied by Bela, a servant and herself.

Reports noted that Air India allows a maximum of two pets for domestic sectors.

Pets flying on aeroplanes is not uncommon. However, owners taking an extra step to give their pets the best travel experience often makes headlines.

A few years ago, in 2017, a Saudi prince booked one seat each in a United Arab Emirates flight for his 80 falcons.
