Kanye Jurong West? Yeezy lookalike seen biking around SG

Singapore — Someone who looks very much like American rap star Kanye West was seen biking around Singapore, as evidenced by a clip posted on TikTok on Monday (Sept 13).

TikTokker @_r1yan posted an eight-second video of a young man on a bike, smiling as he was asked to sing one of Kanye’s songs, “Donda.”

“people don’t believe that i met kanye 😔 here’s the proof,” he wrote.

“Sing a bit, sing. It’s okay, faster ‘Donda.’ Sing a bit, sing a bit,” the poster tells the man.

By Tuesday morning, the clip of the Kanye lookalike had been viewed almost 470,000 times on TikTok, and another 65,000 times on Instagram, where it was shared on the @sgfollowsall account.

“Kanye Jurong West,” commented one netizen.

Others also played along with the rap star’s name, calling his Singapore doppelgänger “kanye east,” “kanye SouthEastAsia,” “kanye north east” and even “Kurry west.”

Another commenter wrote that the man works for a carwash, which was liked by many sgfollowsall followers.

Commenters on TikTok certainly had fun with the “sighting.”
