Kim Tae Hee to return to acting after five years

It has been five years since Kim Tae Hee acted in a drama and it’s been reported that the South Korean actress may be returning to acting.

On 16 Oct, it was reported that Kim Tae Hee would be leading a new tvN drama. Story J Company, her agency responded to the reports saying, “It’s true that Kim Tae Hee has received an offer to appear in the new tvN drama, but no decision has been made yet.”

Set to air early next year, the drama Kim Tae Hee has been offered is called “Hello, Mom”.

This will be her first drama in almost five years if she accepts the role.

SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Yong Pal” was her last project which concluded in 2015.

The actress has been focusing on her family while on a break from acting. In 2017, she married singer/actor Rain and the pair have two children, with the youngest being born in September.

Kim Tae Hee, 39 is considered as South Korea’s most beautiful woman.

Korean dramas such as Stairway to Heaven, Love Story in Harvard, Iris, My Princess and Yong Pal are part of her portfolio.

Kim Tae Hee was born in Ulsan, South Korea on 29 March 1980.

Her father Kim Yoo Moon established and is the chairman of Hankook Union Transportation Company in 1984.

Tae Hee also helps out in various charities, aiding underserved youths and broken families in the Ulsan area.

Kim Hee won is her older sister and Lee Wan is her younger brother. The brother is an actor who co-starred in the TV series Stairway to Heaven.

Kim Tae Hee attended Samshin Elementary School, Daehyun Middle School and then enrolled at Ulsan Girls’ High School.

She attended college at the prestigious Seoul National University in 1999, where she became the president of the SNU Women’s Ski Club.

She completed her studied from SNU with a bachelor’s degree in fashion design in 2005.
