Song Hye-kyo enrols into New York art school

South Korean leading actress Song Hye-Kyo who divorced top actor Song Joong-ki on 22 July has reportedly registered for a short-term art course in New York, based on Hong Kong-based media Apple Daily as quoted by Korea Times.

She left for New York to attend a fashion event on 7 Sept and was seen in the front row during the Ralph Lauren show.

Apple Daily said she had used her stay during the Chuseok holiday to prepare for the course.

South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo has moved out of the house that she previously shared with ex-husband Song Joong Ki during their marriage.

She moved into a luxury villa in the UN Village, one of Korea’s richest communities.

She is abroad attending to her overseas schedules.

Song Joong Ki moved in with his family following the split.

The pair fell in love in TV series Descendants of the Sun and became engaged after.

They announced their divorce back in 27 Jun through their respective agencies, revealing that Song Joong Ki had requested the divorce in court.

Song Hye Kyo’s side stated that the divorce was due to personality differences.

The actress has since been making a string of public appearances following the divorce.

Over a week after her divorce, Song Hye Kyo was at an event for a cosmetics brand in China.

The 37-year-old also attended a promotional event for the hi-end French jeweller Chaumet in Monaco of which she is their Asian ambassador.

Later on she was dressed in a beautiful dinner gown sitting next to Hollywood actress Natalie Portman and Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova.

South Korean actor Song Joong-ki is no longer a favourite for advertisers since his divorce from A-list actress Song Hye-Kyo.

33-year-old Joong-ki announced his break-up in June which was not well-received by many fans.

He is now paying the price with Korean media noting that there has been a significant drop in demand for him to endorse products or services.
