Dr Tan Cheng Bock calls for Singaporeans to meet him during his first walkabout

The Progress Singapore Party (PSP) has announced the date for their first official walkabout, with Secretary-General Dr Tan Cheng Bock welcoming Singaporeans to meet with him and his fellow party members.

The walkabout has been scheduled to happen on September 29, 2019, with party members and registered volunteers positioning themselves all across the country.

The locations that these members and volunteers will be visiting have not been announced as of yet, but Dr Tan shared that they will be speaking to residents, listening to their concerns and sharing more about the PSP.

He wrote, “May I warmly invite you to come meet us. Please save the date and look out for more details on the PSP website or Facebook page or reach the party at [email protected]”.

Dr Tan also noted, “As the health and safety of our members is very important, PSP is keeping a close eye on the haze and in the event it is not safe, we will reschedule. Please look for updates on the PSP Facebook page”.

PSP’s first walkabout is an important milestone for the party since the convening of the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee (EBRC), the first firm step to the next General Election (GE) is already underway.

Last Sunday (September 15), Dr Tan Cheng Bock revealed that his party had planned to organise an island wide community event this morning but decided to postpone the event due to health concerns arising from the haze. /TISG
