Rain and Kim Tae Hee welcomes second child

South Korean celebrity couple Rain and Kim Tae Hee are now parents of two children!

On September 19, Kim Tae Hee’s agency released the following statement:

We would like to deliver the joyful news that actor couple Kim Tae Hee and Jung Ji Hoon (Rain) have welcomed a new member of their family.

On the morning of September 19, Kim Tae Hee gave birth to her second child, a healthy daughter, at a hospital in Seoul.

The mother and baby are both healthy, and they are resting with the care and blessings of their happy family.

We express sincere gratitude for the generous congratulatory messages and warm interest sent to Kim Tae Hee, and she will work hard to also return as a good actress. Please show lots of support.

The couple got married in January 2017 and welcomed their first daughter in October 2017.

In 2010, Rain and Tae Hee first met when they were working together in Rain’s music video, Love Story.

The next year, they crossed paths again while working together for an ad for a social commerce company, Coupang TV.

It was then that they started developing feelings for each other.

When Rain was in the military service two years later in 2012, Dispatch caught them together in Rain’s car going on a date.

Their representatives confirmed their relationship in 2013 after being caught out together several times.

Fans greeted the news with both positive and negative responses.

Rain and Tae Hee went for a BBQ meal and were once again caught by the media and they were more open about their relationship.

Rumors about their marriage started to circulate among fans when Rain was seen in church with Kim Tae-hee. People suspected that Rain was converting to Catholicism, which was Kim Tae-hee’s religion, and he was baptised there.

After dating for five years, the couple finally announced their marriage. Rain revealed that his wife wanted a small marriage ceremony.

They held their marriage at the church and they didn’t have any pre-wedding photoshoots. After the wedding, they were spotted in Bali for the honeymoon.
