Woman pries open MRT platform doors with bare hands, gets stuck between platform and train

A woman was filmed on Closed-circuit television (CCTV) trying to pry open a set of platform doors at Little India MRT station after all the doors had closed and the train was about to move off.

In the video, circulating on August 28, a woman can be seen trying to rush into the train before the doors close just as she reaches.

While the train doors close completely, the woman manages to wedge her hands into the platform doors just before they close fully. She then pushes herself through the platform doors.

At this point, the woman is stuck in the small crevice between platform doors, and the doors of a train that is about to move off. While her right ankle is wedged in-between platform doors to stop them from closing fully, should the train move off, it would have been almost impossible for her to escape.

She tries to pry open the train doors as well but fails. The woman is stuck between the train and platform barrier.

An employee at the station then runs towards her and tries to open the platform door. A passer-by also sees the situation and rushes in to try and help.

Just then, the train doors open and the woman enters the train before they close again.

Subsequently, the train remained at Little India station for a few more seconds before moving off. -/TISG
