An Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam says he has a report from a UK based firm showing the two “actors” in the video resembled the photos of Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz and Azmin Ali.
As such, he says the Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should fire or ask the minister to quit.
He told the media in Kuala Lumpur he flew to the United Kingdom to try and verify the authenticity of the viral sex video.
A series of videos were published on social media in Malaysia allegedly depicting a Minister in Dr Mahathir’s cabinet engaging in gay-sex with a man.
The man, Haziq Aziz, is a member of the same party as the minister. He confessed that he is the man in the gay-sex videos and said that Minister of Economic Affairs Azmin Ali was the other man.
Lokman was questioned by the police in the wake of the video release in June but no charges have been laid against him.
The police also arrested Haziq who may face various charges of engaging in illicit sex and for the distribution of the videos.
To be precise, Lokman says he commissioned an England-based company to conduct an analysis of the videos.
He told the media that the UK based firm said that for Azmin’s photo, there was nothing that did not match the videos. While they can’t say that it is, in fact, Azmin; but they are sure the photos match.
Lokman says he wants to ask the Inspector-General of Police to look into CyberSecurity to ascertain if there is a 100% match.
He added that if CyberSecurity said that there was a match that was close enough, then that would be sufficient.
Azmin issued a press release saying the videos are an attempt to destroy his political career and tarnish his reputation.
He has received the support of PM Mahathir who did not fire him after the release of the videos to journalists and videos that went viral on YouTube which were widely distributed via Whatsapp. -/TISG
