Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande, BTS, Drake and many others are the ones the largest number of fake Instagram followers, says a survey.

The survey, conducted by ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol), listed them according to a ranking system after examining DeGeneres, BTS, Kim Kardashian and other celebrities Instagram and Twitter account for fake followers.

Ellen DeGeneres has the highest amount of fake followers in the showbiz celebrity category based on the investigation which shows 58 per cent of her Instagram followers are fake.

The second spot goes to BTS with 48 per cent of fake followers and Kourtney Kardashian came in third with 49 per cent.

The percentage of fake followers is respective to their total follow count.

Kourtney Kardashian’s sisters, Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian, both had 44 per cent of their followers listed as fake.

Other notable names include Ariana Grande with 46 per cent, Miley Cyrus with 45 per cent, Kevin Hart with 44 per cent, and Drake with 38 per cent.

ICMP ran 99 showbiz and sports celebrities through the measuring software IG Audit, with Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos taking first place for having the largest number of fake followers overall.
