Priyanka Chopra received backlash from the public after photos of her surfaced on social media showing her smoking.

She once claimed she has asthma and the photo showed her smoking, along with her mother and husband Nick Jonas.

A fan was the one who took the photo and uploaded it on social media.

Netizens called Priyanka a “hypocrite” after the photo went viral.

Priyanka once objected to firecrackers being burnt during Diwali and she said that because she suffers from asthma since childhood, smoke causes problems for people like her.

She also said that she doesn’t smoke.

Comments online are trolling the actress but some of her supporters defended Priyanka, saying that maybe her asthma has been cured.

Prior to this Priyanka was criticised for not addressing the Assam floods.

As the tourism brand ambassador of the state, she was expected to donate to the flood victims and ask people to contribute.

She then wrote on Twitter to urge people to donate but angry netizens were not convinced as they expected more from her.

It is not known if the actress has actually donated for the cause. -/TISG
