Man who slept with over 6,000 women dies while having sex with 23-year-old

Legendary Italian playboy Maurizio Zanfanti, who boasted that he has slept with over 6,000 women, passed away last week at the age of 63 while having sex with a 23-year-old tourist in the back of a car. The tourist called the paramedics but emergency personnel were unable to revive the famous lover.

Fondly called the Romeo of Rimini or “Italy’s most successful lover”, Zanfanti shot to fame at the age of 17 as he worked as a nightclub promoter in the city of Rimini in the 1970s, persuading female tourists to enter the club.

Zanfanti’s looks apparently made it difficult for women to refuse him and he became famous for his professional and personal exploits. Zanfanti once bragged that he bedded around 200 women in a single summer in his youth.

Attracting immense attention in the media for his exploits in his prime, in the 1980s, “Italy’s most successful lover” even boasted that he had seduced a French journalist who had been interviewing him.

Zanfanti became so famous and well-loved that some of his female companions built a wax statue of him in Sweden.

Successful and well-known for decades, Zanfanti finally retired a few years ago and told the press in his last interview in 2014 that “At 59, I’m getting too old for it.”

Despite his so-called retirement, Zanfanti – called “a legend of the night” by the mayor of Rimini – apparently went out in the way he would have wanted to go. A Bologna newspaper reported, “Zanza died after doing what he did best — loving women.”
