Dr Tan Cheng Bock spent May Day with Singaporeans of all ages at community futsal tournament

Leader of the Progress Singapore Party, Dr Tan Cheng Bock spent the May Day public holiday with Singaporeans of all ages at a community futsal tournament at the Bukit Purmei Hillock Futsal Court.

The event was organised by Mr Kumar Appavoo, who contested the Radin Mas ward as a Reform Party candidate in the 2015 General Election.

Thanking Mr Kumar for “organising this event so well and bringing everyone together,” Dr Tan called it a joy to celebrate May Day with the people at the futsal tournament. He wrote:

“At the Futsal tournament, neighbours of all races and ages including kids as young as 6 and seniors as old as 70 played together and had great fun. It was a pleasure to see everyone interacting so happily. This is the Singapore spirit which we must continue to cherish always!”

Dr Tan’s Facebook post about his participation at the May Day futsal tournament is his first message on social media since he announced that the symbol for his political party has been approved. The veteran politician and his colleagues are expected to release more details about their party in the near future.
