Seungri scandal: Senior Superintendent Yoon’s had close ties with Yoo In Sook and allegedly received bribes from Seungri

Seoul – More and more information is unfolding regarding the sex and drug scandal that is taking the K-pop industry by storm. The police have recently given an update on the investigation stating that former Yuri Holdings CEO Yoo In Suk (Seungri’s business partner) was in fact quite close with Senior Superintendent Yoon while the latter is suspected of having received bribes from Seungri.

Soompi, on April 16, reported that Senior Superintendent Yoon revealed new information regarding his ties with Yoo In Suk, beyond being merely an acquaintance.

Senior Superintendent Yoon was marked as a suspect in March having allegedly misused his role as a senior police officer and taking part in covering up the criminal activities occurring in Jung Joon Young’s chatroom.

He is also suspected of having received bribes from Seungri, in the form of three BIGBANG concert tickets, earlier this month. The officer has been charged for leaking official confidential information and violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act.

Yoon previously claimed that he was only acquainted with Yoo In Suk via two golf games. However, a press conference on April 15 revealed that the two met four times to play golf and dined together six times. Seungri was present at four of those six meals.

The police are now investigating the details of whether the police officer is in further violation of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act because Yoo In Suk is alleged to have paid for most of those meetups.

Furthermore, the police have decided to re-apply for a warrant of arrest for Burning Sun’s CEO Lee Moon Ho who is charged with drug-related activities. The Seoul Central District Court denied the first request because of the charges’ room for argument.

“We’re almost at the final stages of the corroborative investigation into CEO Lee and Anna [a merchandiser or club promoter of Burning Sun who tested positive for multiple drugs]. We’re planning to take the necessary measures within this week,” said a police spokesperson.
