US President Donald Trump is set to visit Japan twice after the Vietnam summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

First, Trump will meet the soon-to-be enthroned 126th emperor of the world’s oldest monarchy, Crown Prince Naruhito, who is set to ascend the throne on the first week of May. Trump will likely come on May 26 to 28, and he is expected to be the first foreign leader to future emperor will meet.

Second, Trump will return to Japan in late June for the upcoming G20 summit in Osaka.

This is according to a U.S. official as reported by CNN.

Japanese and US officials are said to be planning Trump’s activities for the upcoming visit, which range from watching sumo wrestling matches to playing golf with the prime minister, according to a news report by NHK World.

According to state officials, Trump spoke to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe via telephone last Wednesday prior to the Vietnam summit with Kim. Abe has previously expressed concerns over Japanese detainees in North Korea and missile weapons which can possibly target Japan.
